Review of Happiness Head to Toe from Love & Toast

As promised, a review of the Happiness Head to Toe starter kit from Love & Toast.
Everything comes in a pink and clear plastic, reusable makeup bag and includes .85 oz of white tea and mint daily shampoo and conditioner, Clementine Crush body lotion and shower creme, .4 oz of the Clementine Crush sugar scrub, .25 oz green tea and mind sugar lip scrub, .15 oz Strawberry Fields lip butter, and a perfume sample of Sugared Grapefruit.

The Shampoo
I was surprised by how much I liked this shampoo. It has a cooling effect but didn't have the tingle that often accompanies mint, it foamed decently, and it gave my hair some volume that I was not expecting. I didn't get much of the tea on this one.
The Conditioner
I didn't care much for the conditioner. It has the same scent as the shampoo but I didn't find it particularly moisturizing-though my hair is very dry and thick so it takes a pretty heavy duty conditioner. This would be better for people with thinner or fine hair as I think it would give you enough moisture without weighting down your hair. I got more of a tea scent with this, though the mint is definitely stronger.
The Shower Creme
This smells like orange tic-tacs! A bright and sunny scent, does the job of getting you clean but I didn't notice much of a scent lingering on my skin after I washed the suds off.
The Body Lotion
This has the same scent as the body creme which is a great follow up for after the shower. Its a middle of road thickness-not as thin as traditional lotion but not as thick as a body butter. I noticed a little bit of a residue after I put this on but it fully soaked in after about 10 mins. The handcreme is one of my favorite products from Love & Toast so I was happy with this.
What I didn't like
All four of these products come in a small square container with a pop top that you can unscrew but it's so hard to get the product out! I tried shaking it and squeezing the bottles but because of their shape and size it's hard to do. The best way has been to store them upside down and unscrew the top and tap the product out in my hand.

 The Sugar Scrub
The scrub is a pretty small size when you look at it but I used a little on my elbows and face so it should last for 2-3 uses, though if you decide to use it on your whole body it may only last once. It is also the Clementine Crush scent so your whole body will smell like orange tic-tacs when you're done and is in a tube which makes it MUCH easier to get the product out. Plus how can you not have a good time with the colorful splashy packaging?!

Lip Scrub
This Green Tea & Mint sugar scrub is specifically for your lips, smells amazing, and is gentle enough for daily use. Once you scrub it around your lips in small circles, you can lick off the sugar or use a warm, damp washcloth. It leaves behind soft and supple lips.

Lip Butter
I currently own 2 more lip butters from Love & Toast in Blood Orange and Caramel Apple, so I already knew what to expect from the Strawberry Fields lip butter-extreme moisture. With olive and jojoba oil, shea butter, and hemp seed oil, this little stick packs a powerful punch to quench your lip. I don't really get strawberry when I smell this, though sometimes the oils in the product alter the smell a little, but I do get kind of a generic fruity. It doesn't have the greatest taste (again because of the oils) but it feels comfortable on the lips and you can feel it sinking in, though it leaves no color behind.

Perfume Sample
As a bonus item, Love & Toast put in a sample of their Sugar Grapefruit perfume. With notes of pink grapefruit, orange citrus, warm musk and lily, its a warm citrus scent that would be a good everyday perfume. It doesn't replace my Paper Flower but its a nice bonus item in the kit.

Overall, its not a bad kit for the price and would be a good option for a gift or if you're going on a weekend trip- it'll have your basics covered. I think I'm going to have to explore a full size of the shampoo and maybe the perfume and lotion.
It's available at Ulta exclusively for $12.99 and right now they have a $3.50 off $10 coupon that you can use online or in store. For Coupon Click Here
